Many of the clothes we buy often don't fit 'real' body proportions. Or our body shape changes over time. a small alteration, be it shortening a hem or tweaking a seam, can make a huge difference. This can also include repairing a product.

Unique custom garments can be tailored to your requirements. Working from developing an existing product that you love or a picture that you have seen. With the right fabrics an idea can be transformed into something unique that is fitted to your own body shape.
soft furnishings
Revive your soft furnishings, which may be worn and tired looking by adjusting the fabrics and fastenings in order to transform the look. This can include curtains, tiebacks, cushions, basically anything from fabric that you supply, which is suitable for home furnishing.
photography and embroidery
Mixing photography, paint, inks, embroidery and fabrics to create mixed media stitched collage is a great way of unique pieces, Pets, people, landscapes and plants etc can be personalised with blends of other images.
Renew/recycle
Working with beautiful treasured fabrics, which can be new or reworked. Unused clothing and soft furnishings can be refashioned with a range of techniques such as patchwork and embroidery.

Alterations and repairs
Repairing tears, damaged fabrics replacing zips and reworking embellishments can bring a product back to life. This also includes: Hemming: Shorten or lengthen trousers, skirts, dresses, and sleeves to your desired length.
Special occasion wear Fittings can be undertaken in the comfort and privacy of your own home. Resizing: Transform oversized or undersized clothing so that you get the perfect fit.

Adding new components
By replacing buttons/ zips and linings a garment can be transformed into improved functionality and appearance.
Clothing
When creating any made to measure garment, the first step is the initial design and fabric consultation. Following this I will then take your measurements and produce a toile (mock up) of the final garment in a similar fabric in order to check the fit and make any necessary alterations before the garment is cut in the final fabric.

I can source a wide range of beautiful fabrics, whether natural fibres in luxurious silks, or designer prints in vibrant manmade fibres. You can also supply your own fabric, which you would like developing into a special garment
Bridal and evening wear
I can work with you to create a unique garment that is perfectly fitted to you. I can work from images, ideas or a bit of both! Together we can design your ideal outfit.
Adapt an old favourite
A treasured garment which is now looking a little worn, is too big, too small or you would just like another the same? I can recreate the original paper pattern using your existing garment in order for it to be made again.

Moving to a new home and windows now different sizes?
It is possible existing curtains can be altered to accommodate new windows.
New curtains can be made to your specification.
